I’m so grateful for this program. My life has changed for the better. I have learned to love myself again as well as life.
Counselors were great. Supportive and understanding. Gave good advice every time I needed it.
I am extremely grateful and I love and enjoy the program. I got everything I needed and more.
This is not a place where you can just come and sit back and do nothing. These people work just as hard as you to do help you get your life on the right track. Within two weeks of coming here, I got a job and all of my identification. They also provided me with vouchers for work clothes and bus cards to I can get to and from work. And just recently I started a new job making more money! Now just like any place that’s official, this place has rules you must follow. But let’s be honest: it can’t be half as bad as that mess we were in when we were on the streets. So don’t let a couple of rules stop you from truly having a real chance to get your life on the right track. Take a lesson from me: this is the happiest I’ve been in years.
I never thought my life would turn out like that [addicted to drugs]. I felt nothing. I was numb. I was sick and tired all the time. I was afraid I was going to die, so I went to Stepping Stones and got help. They are my family now.
I want to tell you that tough love was the best love for me. I think about what you used to tell me and I am applying it in my life. And guess what? It works for me and I will forever and always appreciate what you did in my life.
My stay here has been wonderful. Stepping Stones has a lot to offer including good food, clean sleeping accommodations, and plenty of information to help you in your recovery. My stay here has been very educational thanks to the love and care that the staff and counselors put into this program. Stepping Stones is like a hidden treasure. I never know such a great place was so close to home. Everyone was so helpful and great. They taught me how to laugh again without alcohol or drugs. I have so much to be grateful for.
